The Pine Rivers Swans are the 2012 SEQAFL Division 4 Central Premiers after downing Jimboomba Redbacks 13.10.88 to 8.4.52 on Friday night.
The Redbacks went into the match as underdogs with Pine Rivers the heavy favourites having only lost two matches in two years.
The Swans were keen to make up for the pain of last year’s grand final loss and they didn’t disappoint the large crowd at Yeronga’s Leyshon Park.
The match was tough and close for the first half before the class of the Swans saw them pull away, eventually running out 36 point winners.
