COOMERA EARN ELEVATION

Monday 21 February 2011

Coomera’s first season as an entity was so successful that the club has been elevated a division for its season year in the State Association.

Coomera finished third in the Division 3 Central in 2010, falling to the Woodsmen in a keenly contested preliminary final.

Originally keen to kick-off in Division 2, they were granted that wish after proving their worth in their debut season.

Their elevation will not affect the composition of Division 3 Central too badly, with two clubs joining to take the number to an even six-team competition in 2011.

The Beenleigh Buffaloes are going well enough to field a third side, while Bond University from the Gold Coast will also participate.
