QAFA (B) GRAND FINALS PREVIEWS
CENTRAL
WOODSMEN v WYNNUM

The first weekend of September has arrived and the battle to be QAFA (B) Central’s premiership team is alive.
As the clear top two teams in the competition, Woodsmen and Wynnum will fight for the flag on Friday night.
Woodsmen ran the table in 2014, 16 straight wins makes them firm favourites for the flag.
Not too far behind, Wynnum finished the year with an extremely impressive 14-2 record, proving they are serious contenders.
When they met in the Semi Final Woodsmen delivered a serving to the Vikings with a 15-point win, to give them a place in the Grand Final.
The Vikings, determined not to let their grand final dreams slip, crushed Sandgate the following week by 111 points.
Woodsmen’s key forward Jay Baker will be lethal come Friday night, but coming off the back of an incredible win the Vikings will be a tough force to break.
NORTH
MAROOCHYDORE v BRIBIE ISLAND

With nothing but percentage between Maroochydore and Bribie Island, the sides will meet on Saturday to decide who is QAFA (B) North’s championship team.
The teams have come up against each other four times in the 2014 season, having won and lost two of those games each.
The finals series saw the Roos defeat Pomona by 48-points for a grand final berth.
In the week following the Bulldogs dismantled Pomona in the Preliminary by 33 points.
SOUTH
BOND UNIVERSITY v TWEED COAST

In a predictable season finale, Bond University will take on Tweed Coast this Saturday in a battle for the QAFA (B) South premiership flag.
After finishing the season in the top two, the Tigers took down Lismore last weekend to snatch that last spot in the Grand Final.
Bond has had a highly successful season, with just one loss to Byron Bay in Round 11, to keep their ego in check.
Never having beaten the Bullsharks in 2014, the Tigers will be hungry for a win and with the fruit so sweet, are not to be taken lightly.
The sharks might be circling but the Tigers will be ready to pounce in what will be an explosive clash for the 2014 premiership.
