QWAFL newcomers in first-up clash

The two newest QWAFL teams, Wilston Grange and Coolangatta, will have their first showdown tomorrow.

The Gorillas are coming off a tough QWAFL debut, against an experienced Yeronga side ,  and will be looking to improve in the game.

On their home turf, the Bluebirds will be hoping to string together their first set of back-to-back wins.

Coolangatta notched their first victory last weekend, against Griffith Moorooka, and will be hoping to continue that good run, to complete a set of three consecutive home games.

Griffith Moorooka faces another tough match against Yeronga, as the Reds search for their first 2014 win.

On their home ground , Griffith Moorooka will hope they can get over the powerhouse Devils, in their first clash of 2014, before heading into their bye.

UQ will get a strong litmus test on Sunday, in a Mother’s Day match up with Coorparoo.

The 2013 premiers lost to Zillmere last weekend and will be looking for redemption against the Red Lionesses.

Coming off a bye, UQ will be hoping to make the most of their first game at Oval 7, and their extra week of rest.

Current ladder leaders, Zillmere, have a bye before taking on Wilston Grange in round four.
