For the second week in succession, the leading goalkicker of the round came from outside the top 10 season leaders.

Cameron Ilett’s freakish 32-possession, seven-goal effort saw him take his season total to 21 majors for 2010.

The brilliant midfielder has been used more as an attacking weapon over the past month and has booted 14 goals in his last three matches while still collecting a mountain of touches.

It was a big round for the defenders otherwise, with no player in the top 10 being able to generate any more than three goals.

Broadbeach livewire Dayne Zorko tagged on to the end of the top 10 for the first time with his three goals against Morningside moving him to 25 for the season.

Cleve Hughes extended his lead at the top, despite being held to just two goals by the Western Magpies and a tenacious Mark Dowley last Saturday.

Thunder star Darren Ewing managed just a solitary goal against Aspley, although he missed with a number of shots that could have aided his cause.
