Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club QAFLW Head Coach

Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club seeks expressions of interest for a QAFLW Head Coach.

Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club has a very proud history in women’s football and a commitment to continuing to develop the game for young women, both players and coaches. Women’s football is rapidly evolving, and we seek to be at the forefront of these changes as we rebuild our pro
gram for future success.

The Head Coach is to lead the QAFLW football program working with the foundation of players to continue and further grow on our multiple past achievements. The Head Coach will have the responsibility of setting the state league program, player standards and further developing the talent pathways for youth players. The position is crucial to setting our cultural standards and will also be a part of our club development focus group formed in 2023.

We welcome applicants with varied playing and coaching experience but the Head Coach should hold, or be working toward Level Two coaching accreditation.

Alongside our values, Respect and Inclusion, Community and Ownership, and building for Success we believe that leadership is not a top down process. Our leaders should understand the power of vulnerability, be unselfish and without ego with a commitment to building the future of the entire club. Through our club development program, we have built a strong network to support this framework across our senior, youth and junior programs within our Club.

The Head Coach role is to commence as soon as possible after the current 2023 season with a focus on planning for the pre-season, player retention, talent identification and recruitment.
Interviews for coaching positions will be held as soon as possible and in strict confidence.
