UQ is holding an information session about its 2014 scholarship program.
The University of Queensland is offering 2014 scholarships for AFL players.
The scholarships are awarded to UQ students who have a proven level of high achievement in Aussie Rules.
They are offered to help assist students balance football and academic demands, with a $6000 payment in the academic year as well as access to other services and benefits, valued at around $1500.
Applications for the 2014 scholarships close on October 31, 2013, and the club encourages prospective students to apply even if their 2014 study plans are uncertain.
The Red Lions will be holding an information session on Monday October 21 at 6pm at the UQ Athletics Centre Meeting Place, next to the track.
The session will include information about the scholarship program as well as the 2014 QAFL competition.
Prospective students and players are welcome to attend the session, which will allow a chance to meet with the senior coaching team, club executive and current players, as well as find out more about the scholarships.
