U18 Div 2 Central & North finals preview

Battle to make the Grand Final for Under 18’s

This weekend sees the preliminary finals for both Under 18’s Division 2 competitions.

The under 18 Central game sees Kenmore against Yeronga Sth Brisbane.  Kenmore will be hoping that they can keep the dream of back-to-back premierships alive with a win this week.

In order to do that the Bears need Ben Leeds and Harry Baldwin to continue their good form, but all players will need to get themselves up from last week’s loss and fire early if they are to have any chance of beating Yeronga.

The Devils are coming off a good win after their trip to Toowoomba with Brodie Wilson and Gram Whitton instrumental in the victory over Alex Hills.

Yeronga have beaten Kenmore twice this year but finals football is always a different game.  Will this be the 2nd successful finals road trip down the highway for Yeronga or will the Bears maul their way to victory find out Sunday at 11.00am?

The under 18 North Preliminary Final between Maroochydore and Caboolture/Caloundra is sure to be a blockbuster with the young Maroochydore side beating Caboolture/Caloundra the last time the two teams met.

Maroochydore will need to pick themselves up from the big defeat last week and hope Nicholas Selman continues his good form with the boot and kicks a bag.  Selman will be hoping Jye Smith and Sam Wilson get plenty of ball down to him in the forward line.

Caboolture/Caloundra are hoping to take their form from the big win in the semi into this weekend’s game.

Ryan Barbagallo was again deadly in front of goal and received plenty of chances through the efforts of Tom Muir, Lochlan McBride and Blake Wilson.

Will Caboolture/Caloundra continue there demolition of teams and advance into the decider or will the roos bounce back?
