About the assignment:
We’re looking for a Support Officer for AFL Fiji Talent Academy who can live and volunteer in Fiji for 12 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across the Pacific.
About the Partner Organisation:
AFL FIji was established in 2009 with a focus on community based development, promoting healthy living and running carnivals and leagues. It has 2 major focus points. First, to develop the game at community level through its BulaKick Program, building interest through local schools and communities and to restablish the community’s senior league. Second, through partnership with PacificAusSport, to establish a Talent Academy Program that provides high quality training and opportunities for the best players in Fiji connections with community and professional AFL clubs in Australia.
Following the launch of DFAT/PacificAusSport, this in-country assignment will provide sustainable on-the-job support and training to the AFL Fiji Acamdey Manager and the coaches within the Academy.
About the Position:
You’ll be supporting the Academy Manager in establishing resources for age specific training cycles and working with coaching staff to implement methods and accountability
You’ll need experience in mentoring staff and a Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation

Allowance: $2,516
The monthly living allowance enables you to live a modest local lifestyle. Based on the cost of living in a particular country, it covers food, your daily commute, communication and other local costs. It is not set to enable you to meet financial commitments at home, such as a mortgage or a personal loan.
