The annual Sunshine Coast NAB AFL Auskick gala day was recently held at Kawana Park State College, with ten teams competeing in a round robin carnival.
Kawana Park had a strong showing of participants while many others travelled from as far as Noosa, Pomona, Glasshouse Hinterland and the Gold Coast.
Kids enjoyed a fantastic day of football with special guest appearances from Bernie GABBA Vegas and NAB man; Bernie winning the “push up” challenge much to the delight of his hundreds of followers whom cheered madly (watch video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ZsCDZaN1ss4)
Auskick teams made up of five and six year olds were able to participate in three games during the day.
Between games the teams were invited to use the inflatable speckie machine and inflatable football field.
A very strong community partnership exists between AFL Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast NAB. NAB once again sponsored the event and provided each of the participants with a medallion and a BBQ lunch.
