Suns Inspire Central Coast Girls

Central Coast Cobras players Megan Hunt, Krystal Hansen, Tamika Hansen and Hannah Richardson were all lucky enough to meet Gold Coast Suns players Zac Smith & Josh Hall last weekend in Rockhampton.

The girls were all invited to the Cyclones Under 18 and Suns Academy training in preparation for the Under 18 Youth Girls Qld trials to be held in Brisbane the following weekend.

Megan Hunt, 2 time Under 18 All-Australian happily drove the hour up from Gladstone to be able to train with the guys in order to fine tune her skills.   Krystel is unfortunately too old for the Under 18s in 2012 but used the session for the upcoming AFL Capricornia Women’s League season.

Tamika, after representing Qld at the recent Under 19 Cricket National championships is hoping to be fit after suffering a hamstring strain and shin splints.

This will be Hannah’s first taste of Under 18 Youth Girls football after an impressive performance at the Under 16 Youth Girls State Championships in Cairns in October 2011.

The camp in Brisbane goes for two days and consists of two games, skills and fitness testing.
