AFL Sunshine Coast Juniors kicked off the AFL awards season last night, hosting their annual Presentation Night at the University of the Sunshine Coast Auditorium.
The night included a full best and fairest vote count for each division, from Under 13 through to Under 18.
With 29 votes, Kawana Park’s Tim Kimberley took out the night’s top player’s award, the Aasta O’Connor medal for the most votes poled across all divisions.
The Under 18 Youth Girls’ saw the tightest count of the night, with Coolum Beach duo Brianna Noel and Reagan Mills tied on 10 votes for first place, ahead of an incredible five players with 9 votes each.
It was a good night for Coolum, with the club named 2015 Club of the Year.
North Shore’s Dylan Versteegen was named Junior Coach of the Year and Nambour’s Damien Hickey took home the trophy for Youth Coach of the Year.
David Moles from Kawana Park was honoured with the Volunteer of the Year Award, Judd Hooper picked up the Umpire Coaches Award and Ryan Cullen was named Best 1st Year Umpire.
