Round 3 QAFL Rising Star: Harry Milford

Wilston Grange small forward Harry Milford has been named the round three QAFL Rising Star after an influential game against the Western Magpies.

The 19 year old worked hard forward of centre for the Gorillas on Saturday and was classy with his disposal when he had the ball.

A Dalby Swans product, Milford played for the University of Queensland in 2016, so is a new recruit for the Gorillas.

After a pre-season discussion with coach Nathan Clarke, it was decided that Harry should work on his midfield craft to become a more rounded player.

“I feel like I want to develop my game further, I feel like just playing in the forward line and only training there, it’s hard to develop other skills,” said Milford.

“I really think it’s helped me, just with the way I attack the footy now.”

Wilston Grange are looking good after an important win in their close clash with the Western Magpies and will look to capitalize on their form against Broadbeach, in their second away game for the season this weekend.
