Padua College Coaching Roles

Padua has a strong tradition of embracing the College values of Joy, Courtesy, Humility, Simplicity and Peace in our sporting program. The prime focus of the Coach is to provide the appropriate infrastructure for the development of the skill and enjoyment of students in AFL.
The Coach/Manager will:
• Assist with match day procedures and operations for their team.
• Organise and assist with the pre-season trials and the implementation of Padua selection policy.
• Organise and attend the minimum training sessions per week required for their sport
• In consultation with the Sports Department, design, develop and implement specialized development programs for your team. Emphasis on skill, teamwork, technique and improving these aspects.
• Training and Match Day attendance roll taking using Clipboard.
• Provide all the results and best players to the Sports Department using Clipboard.
• Ensure notification to the Sports Department of any injuries, accidents, or incidents in association with your team. Including reports using Clipboard
• Promote good sportsmanship in accordance with the Code of Behaviour as set by AIC.
• Attend coaching sessions organized by the Sports Department.
• Attend competition games.
• Arrange in consultation with the Sports Department, the training schedule for the team prior to the season.
• Submit team lists and results weekly.
• Hold a minimum Level 1 or equivalent coaching accreditation
• Complete and upload all required coaching documentation to the Padua College website coaches’ registration.
