Aspley Australian Football and Sporting Club 

The Aspley Australian Football and Sporting Club was established in 1964 and developed primarily as a junior club, serving the communities of Aspley, Carseldine and surrounding areas. The club now caters for the full range of football for both men and women with Auskick from age 5 years, through to master’s for the over 45s.

The Clubhouse business has grown in line with our football operations. From a community hall to a basic bar operation to the thriving community hub it is today. We are looking for a new Football Operations Manager with an understanding of AFL, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in administration and management to join our strong and successful football club. The role will include managing our growing football department employees including Junior football coordinator, Football assistant & shared Marketing coordinator.

The Key responsibilities of the role:
• Player Retention and Recruitment
• List Management & effective Player Pathways
• Managing the performance of Coaching and Support Staff
• Senior Football Season and Game Day Management
• Adherence to Budget Parameters
• Adherence to policies and procedures
• Creating positive and effective relationships with all Football Stakeholders and employees
• Strategic planning and forward thinking

The key candidate will have the below skills:
• High level interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of AFL (or sport communities)
• Financial knowledge/background
• Marketing knowledge/background
• Staff development skills
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Weekend work required throughout the season.
Salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
Start date March 2024 or earlier.
