North Lakes Slippery Season Launch

Slippery weather conditions couldn’t put a dampener on the North Lakes Eels JAFC season launch last week.

The North Lakes Eels officially launched their 2012 season last week at their home ground at St Benedict’s College, Mango Hill.

Despite the slippery conditions over 90 people enjoyed an afternoon of competitions, skills and fun.

The Eels used the opportunity to introduce all coaches, managers and committee members for the year as well as launching the new Under 6 program.

Club president Brian Moss recognised the hard work that his committee had put in over the off-season as well as thanking parents for making the small club a success.

Club Coordinator Lachlan Harris and Regional Manager Brett Fragiacomo, along with AFL Queensland and AFL Brisbane Juniors were praised for their continued support of the club.

The Eels also welcomed 2012 sponsors, James Hardie Concrete Pipes, E.K. McGrath Realty and Heritage Bank North Lakes.

In 2012, the North Lakes Eels are fielding teams in Under 6, Under 8 and Under 9 competitions as well as running an Auskick program.

Training is Tuesdays and Thursdays at St Benedict’s, with Auskick held on Saturday mornings.
