HEAD UP, GRAYSON DOWN

Tuesday 3 August 2010

Labrador will again be without with valuable wingman Todd Grayson for Saturday’s big clash with Redland at Cooke-Murphy Oval.

One of the Tigers’ better players this season, the gifted teenager was a late withdrawal from the team to play the Western Magpies last Saturday after receiving a call-up from the Gold Coast Suns.

Grayson was reported during the 17-point loss to Geelong at Skilled Stadium and subsequently accepted a one-match penalty arising from the game, leaving to him to cool his heels on the sidelines.

There was better news on the tribunal front for Mt Gravatt ruckman Ryan Head, who was reported early in Saturday’s important win over Morningside at Dittmer Park.

Head pleaded guilty to striking Morningside star Paul Shelton, with his clean record and early plea accounting for 37.5 carryover points leaving him free to play.
