Gold Coast SUNS Family Day

Round 10 – GC SUNS vs Western Bulldogs

Led by Gary Ablett, the Gold Coast recorded a superb 31-point victory over the Western Bulldogs in 2013, the occasion marking the first time the GC SUNS celebrated back to back wins in the club history.

Rory Thompson and Jaeger O’Meara also featured among the GC SUNS best players, with the 2013 NAB AFL Rising Star winner turning in a 25-disposal performance.

Theme – Family Day

FAMILY DAY ACTIVITIES

Get to the game early to make the most of the huge range of attractions for Family Day, gates open 1.15pm where you can enjoy the following entrainment right through until the end of half time:

Back by popular demand is the PETTING ZOO but this year we also welcome the bright and majestic Macaw Parrots. Have one perched on your arm as you smile for the camera for your take home souvenir.

For something a bit more FIRED UP, there will be interactive rides to suit a range of age groups. Get a group together to compete on the BATTLE ZONE, one that is sure to get a laugh and appeal to the competitive streak in your mates. Or for a ride that allows you to show off your skills try the MECHANICAL FOOTBALL. For the younger kids there is the fun inflated DOUBLE SPASH SLIDE.

The kids can get creative in hands on workshops making footy posters and hats or just get into the footy fever with temporary airbrush tattoos and face painting. There are also INTERACTIVE GAMES and a CIRCUS STYLE WORKSHOP at the Party Kings Sound Stage as well as PUTT PUTT GOLF.

And there will also be a whole heap of roving entertainment joining all the excitement such as Stilt Walkers, Balloon Twisters, Unicyclists and even your favourite characters Hamburglar from McDonald’s, Mr Sharky from Southport Sharks, Larry the Lifeguard and Sunny Ray!

The best part is that all of this entertainment is included in your match ticket, along with free transport to and from Metricon Stadium!
