Kruger SS, Nudgee Junior College and Villanova College were the winners of the Brisbane Lions Cup grand finals and Helensvale SHS took out the Schools of Excellence Senior grand final today.
Brisbane Lions and the Gabba hosted the day with players including Captain Jonathon Brown on hand to present cups and medallions to the winning teams
A great day of school football was marred by unsportsmanlike behaviour in the Schools of Excellence Cup Senior grand final where members from both teams were involved in a melee.
Coaches and umpires acted swiftly to diffuse the situation and play resumed quickly.
As a result of the incident three players were sent from the field and played no further part in the match.
There were no further incidents and both teams played out the game in good spirit.
