Auskick Coordinator Champion!

Meet Belinda from Wests Juniors AFL Auskick Program.

She is in her second year as an Auskick Coordinator and is doing an amazing job on the southside ensuring her Auskickers are enjoying themselves and learning about Aussie Rules! Thanks for all your hard work, Belinda.

We had the opportunity to ask her a few questions regarding her program…

How many years in Auskick/club?

As a family we have been part of Wests Juniors AFC for almost 10 years with our eldest son starting his time at Wests in the Auskick program and now he is one of our Auskick Coaches.

Why did you get involved in Auskick?

The family atmosphere and great culture is what drew us to Wests initially and it is something we are very proud of. I have been a team manager for 7 years and volunteered for the Auskick/Junior Co-ordinator role at the end of 2019. What a year 2020 was to be a brand new Co-ordniator! Being a primary school teacher, the Auskick and Junior space made sense to me, as I love being with younger kids as they start their footy journey.

What is your favourite thing about Auskick?

Friday nights are the best and my favourite part of the night is chatting with the kids and their parents either on the field or in the canteen when they grab a sausage sizzle at the end of the night. These kids are the future of our club and I love that their experience in Auskick is something that will carry them right through our club.
