Auskick Coordinator Champion!

Meet Paul from Mayne Tigers JAFC NAB AFL Auskick Program.

He is in his third year as an Auskick Coordinator and is doing an amazing job on the northside ensuring his Auskickers are enjoying themselves and learning about Aussie Rules! Thanks for all your hard work, Paul, you rock!

We had the opportunity to ask him a few questions regarding her program…

How many years in Auskick/Club?

I have been involved in the Auskick space for the past 3 years. My 3 sons have been through the Auskick program and absolutely loved it. I have been involved with Mayne Tiger Junior club over the past 4 years, starting helping out with drills and then into coaching with the then Roys and moving on to u8’s. I like to get involved and help out where I can.

Why did you get involved in Auskick?

I had previously been involved with coaching my other sons, I wanted to be involved with my youngest son coming through. I put my hand up, not really knowing what I was in for. The AFL support materials are great and the program is well supported with drills and how-to videos.

What is your favourite thing about Auskick?

2 things.

  1. Watching the kids master a skill and then watching the kids turn to Mum or Dad with a real sense of accomplishment. You can’t beat it!
  2. Watching the kid’s faces while they’re having fun.
