AROUND THE GROUNDS

Taking you around footy grounds across Queensland.

There were some sweet victories in the Sugar Capital of Australia – Mackay at the weekend!

On a sunny Sunday at  the Magpies Sporting Club the Mackay Magpies AFC hosted Baker Creek Tigers across all competitions.

It was a milestone day in the senior ranks with Brandon “Rossy” Ross and Dean “Seftos” Sefton playing their 100th club game for Mackay Magpies AFC, joining only a small number of players who have done so in the club’s short 10 year history.

To celebrate they kicked away for a 56 point win moving into third spot on the ladder.

Rossy and Seftos were presented with commemorative guernseys after the match and will be inducted as life members at the end of the 2021 season.
