Five young Queenslander will get the chance to attract the attention of AFL Clubs at this week’s NAB AFL National Draft Combine at Melbourne’s Etihad stadium
Aliir Aliir (Aspley AFC), Andrew Boston (Broadbeach AFC), Jordon Bourke (Morningside AFC), Clay Cameron (Mt Gravatt AFC) and Brian Coleman-Broome (Morningside AFC) are the locals to receive an invitation to The NAB AFL Draft Combine (formerly the Draft Camp), the ultimate test for young footballers aspiring to be picked in November’s 2012 NAB AFL Draft, on Thursday November 22 on the Gold Coast.
Under the direction of the Australian Institute of Sport, and with athletic testing predominantly conducted on a hardwood sports performance floor, 120 outstanding prospects from across the country will show their potential at the national-level Draft Combine.
A further 130 will be tested in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in the week following, as AFL clubs fine-tune their selection order for the NAB AFL Draft.
