About the event:
The Eximm Sport Byron Bay AFL Nines is a yearly event, combining the fast, fun free flowing game of AFL Nines with the relaxed vibe of one of Australia’s most iconic beachside locations.
Teams from across the country will compete over two days for up to $15,000 worth of prize money in mixed and masters divisions.
Food vans, live music and an alfresco lounge bar complete the two day carnival which culminates in an afternoon of finals.
The action will take place at the Cavanbah Centre Byron Bay, a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility on Byron’s famous Ewingsdale Rd.
About AFL Nines:
AFL Nines is the AFL’s social version of the game. It’s a fast, free-flowing game that involves nine players on each team playing on a smaller field. Best of all, it’s ‘touch football’ with no tackling or bumping, making it suitable for people of any age or skill level. Importantly, AFL Nines is easy to play, not too physically demanding and provides an environment where fun, enjoyment and safety are a priority.
