Morningside’s reserves claimed back-to-back premierships, with a 14.14 (98) – 6.8 (44) win over Labrador.

That sluggish start had obviously played on their mind, because they were determined for history not to repeat.
It was an arm wrestle early ,before nick Bertoli-Simmonds booted the first goal for the Panthers, breaking that first quarter deadlock.
Fromm there, the Tigers could not clinch their way on top, as the Panther kicked another two for the term to lead by 23 points.
Matt Serrurier had two goals by the first change, in the Panthers’ fast start.
Matthew Freeman gave the Tigers the perfect start to the second quarter, but two quick replies from Morningside kept the Tigers at bay.
In a fierce contest, Labrador did well defensively, but the Panthers pounced on their opportunities through the afternoon.
Daniel Daye was impressive for Morningside through the afternoon, while Will Wolbers dominated n the ruck, earning him the best on ground medal along with his second premiership medal.
Labrador fought back in the third quarter, kicking three goals to two, including the final two of the term to hand them some crucial momentum.
Five unanswered Morningside goals to kick off the last quarter ended any chance of a miracle Tigers comeback, though, as the Panthers put the memories of the major semi-final behind them.
The premiership is the Panthers’ second straight reserves flag and continues an incredible run of success, with only two losses in two seasons.
