Itβs been a tough time for footy in different areas across Australia of late so how good to see footy up and about in AFL Capricornia.
Last weekend saw more than 270 junior and youth participants take part in the 14th annual AFL Capricornia Cluster Day β making it the largest turn out to date.
The footy frenzy saw teams from Superstars, U9βs and U11βs playing four to six games each across the 14 fields at Kele Park.
It was also a great day for 15 of the regionβs youngest umpires who officiated all the games.
The action didnβt stop there, Sunday saw the senior grades play their final home and away matches, determining the top two of each grade.
After a dominant performance against the Gladstone SUNS, Glenmore Bulls leapfrogged Brothers Kangaroos in the dying moments of the match to secure second spot on the ladder.
The Kangaroos will now take on BITS Saints in an elimination match on August 21st. Β

Brothers Kangaroos were unable to finish the year with a win in the reserves however they did manage to hold on to second spot on the ladder by just 4%.
Yeppoon Swans 10.5 (65) def. Brothers Kangaroos 7.9 (51)
The Yeppoon Swans women team capped off an incredible season with a 16-point victory over the Kangaroos.
Ending their home and away season in second spot and with a six-game winning streak.
2016 was the last time the Swanettes won more than two games in a season.
