Caloundra wins the Division 4 North Grand Final in fine style
Caloundra won the Division 4 North Grand Final last Saturday with an emphatic win over Maroochydore Roos 4. The Panthers got the ball rolling with an eight goal first quarter and were never headed for the rest of the game and finished well with an imposing second half.
Stephen Shaw continued his consistent year with a six goal haul and not to be outdone the leading goal kicker in Div 4 north Quinten Ross also bagged six. Barry O’Brien, Tim D’Arcy and Aidan Sauvage all finished the season with a fantastic last month and were again influential in the victory.
Maroochydore battled hard all day but were not in the race, Brendan Robins and Jeremy Cockram kicked two goals each with David Wilson put in a best on ground performance for the Roos.
