Carlton To Train At Yeronga

The Blues announce an open training session at Yeronga this Wednesday

Carlton FC will host an open training session at AFL Queensland’s Yeronga headquarters on Wednesday ahead of Thursday night’s Gabba clash against the Brisbane Lions.

Fans are invited to watch the Blues train, with the session starting at 5:30pm and expected to run for approximately one hour.

AFL Queensland CEO Michael Conlan said that he was thrilled Carlton had chosen to train at the AFL Queensland Training and Administration Centre.

“Having an AFL team choose to train at the Cansdale St complex over the Gabba is a testament to the quality of the grounds and facilities,” said Conlan.

“The two ovals are a great community asset and are used for a variety of events including club football, Brisbane Lions Academy Training and matches, State football from U14 to U18’s and  female football just to name a few.”

Conlan encouraged fans of all levels of football to come down and watch the Blues run through their paces.

“Elite footballers train at such a high level and lower grade players, coaches, officials and fans can all learn something from watching the process,” he said.

The Brisbane Lions Vs Carlton Gabba Match kicks off at 7:40pm this Thursday with tickets available through Ticketmaster.
