The University of Queensland Red Lions today issued the following media release:
The UQ Red Lions have made a decision to terminate the agreement of its senior coach John Tootell, effectively immediately. The reasons for termination relate to the club’s committee and John not being aligned in respect to the club’s expectations of its senior coach.
The club will not be making any further comments in relation to John’s termination.
The club thanks John for his contribution over the past 18 months and wishes him well for the future.
In the interim, Sebastian Curtis, former Moranbah Premiership Coach will be looking after the side and Josh Hanek will continue to coach the reserves.
