Broadbeach will host Surfers Paradise in round five on Sunday, April 30 over the long weekend.
Sir Doug Nicholls Round will be celebrated across two rounds: eight and nine.
All teams will get a mid-season rest for round 14 on July 1 to accommodate for the return of interstate representative football, which will see Queensland take on Tasmania.
Round 16 will mark Pride Round with all South East Queensland clubs encouraged to join in the LGBTQIA+ celebrations.
Mr Simpson said the marquee matches and themed rounds would make for some fantastic footy in 2023.
“As the profile of the QAFL continues to rise, we’re anticipating a far greater following and support of the 2023 season and encourage everyone to get down in person to check out the blockbuster matches firsthand this year” he said.
