AFL Queensland is pleased to announce the Queensland Under 17 squad that will compete at the Under 17 Futures Championships.
The 29-man squad will play one game in July at Southport’s Fankhauser Reserve and again in August at Ikon Park where they will play two games.
The team will be co-coached by Ricky Sullivan (Gold Coast) and Travis Hubble (Brisbane) in the three games series where the side will face a combined New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory, the Queensland Under 16 state representative side and Victoria Metro.
The Under 17 Futures Championships aim to aid the development of footballers in the talent pathway as they prepare for their Under 18 draft eligible year.
Players selected in the team will commence training on June 10 at Leyshon Park, Yeronga at 5:00pm in preparation for the championships.
