Where did the time go?
This week’s photo of the week comes from Christine and her son Jayden, who plays in the Burleigh Bombers U11s team. At the division one clash between Burleigh and Caloundra on the weekend, guest Bombers coach Kevin Sheedy took the time to have a chat with supporters keen to see some local footy.
On meeting ‘Sheeds,’ Christine and Jayden had a surprise for him; a photo of baby Jayden at the age of seven months being held by the Essendon coaching great in 2007. Sheedy was happy to oblige with another photo, for fun and to mark the ten years in between.

Heeeeere’s Johnny . . .
There wasn’t a single dry eye in the house when it was announced that Johnny Lawrence would captain the Queensland inclusion squad at the National AFL Inclusion Carnival. Johnny instantly wrapped up his brother Brad, who captained the side last year, in a long bear hug.
The inclusion team was able to play a practice match on Saturday, thanks to Yeronga’s effort in organizing a team for them to play against, and the Gold Coast SUNS, for contributing their jerseys.
The Inclusion Carnival kicks off next Tuesday on the Gold Coast with all states and territories represented.
The Hinterland Blue Sapphires got up for a massive 83 point win two weeks ago and they’re no doubt focusing on the rest of their season, but their celebration lives on in this great photo. Has a snap ever before captured the feeling of a win better than this one?
