ONLINE REGISTRATION

There are four forms for you to choose from. Two for SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND umpires (an under 18 years of age form and an over 18 form) and similar for QUEENSLAND COUNTRY umpires.

WHICH ONE TO USE?

For umpires who officiated in either NEAFL, AFL Queensland (Community Umpiring Group/SEQAFL), AFL Gold Coast Juniors, AFL Brisbane Juniors, AFL Sunshine Coast Juniors, AFL Northern Rivers Juniors and AFL Darling Downs in 2012 your details will be already online. To re re-register in 2013 select the SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND form (under 18 years or over 18 years) link below and use your existing password and user name (you may still have this from 2012) or click on the forgotten password options.

Please note – only 2012 NEAFL Umpires are to register in the NEAFL group for 2013. All trialing umpires are to register into the AFL Queensland group.

With the forgotten password the system will ask you to enter your email address and if it is on the database you will receive an email with the username and password in it. If no email gets to you please contact Pierce Field who will find your username and password.

For umpires in QUEENSLAND COUNTRY (AFL Cairns, AFL Townsville, AFL Capricornia, AFL Wide Bay, AFL Mt Isa and AFL Mackay) please use one of the QUEENSLAND COUNTRY registration forms. To re re-register in 2013, select the QUEENSLAND COUNTRY form (under 18 years or over 18 years) link below and use your existing password and user name (you may still have this from 2012) or the forgotten password options.

With the forgotten password the system will ask you to enter your email address and if it is on the database you will receive an email with the username and password in it. If no email gets to you please contact Pierce Field who will find your email and password.

If you are a new umpire to Queensland/Northern NSW for season 2013 please select which form is relevant to you and register as a new umpire.

Registration as an umpire to your local regional league is compulsory for coverage under the Australian Football National Risk Protection Program (see below).

AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL NATIONAL RISK PROTECTION PROGRAM

Umpires that are paid as employees are generally covered for personal injury and medical costs through Work Cover Schemes. This is the case for AFLQ, AFL Brisbane Juniors, AFL Gold Coast Juniors and AFL Sunshine Coast Juniors.

For umpires in our regional leagues it is typical that you will be paid directly as a volunteer or by means of a honorarium payment. This may be paid to you from your local umpires association or by your local league. In these cases you are not covered by work cover schemes but under Personal Accident cover under the Australian Football National Risk Protection program.

Under the scheme it is a requirement that each and every umpire is registered to an affiliated league to be covered under the Personal Accident Scheme.

For more information on the Personal Accident and the Risk Protection Program visit the JLT website.

UMPIRE ACCREDITATION

In the 2013 season, the AFL has mandated that all umpires across Australia who umpire within any home and away fixture must be accredited. AFL Queensland is working with all regions and umpires in 2013 to ensure that every umpire in Queensland is accredited or at least undertaking accreditation. To assist us in managing this process it is also compulsory for all umpires in Queensland to register on the footy web database.

If you have any feedback or questions on the forms or coverage please email Andrew Reeves (AFLQ Community Umpires) or Pierce Field (All other leagues)
