Selectors have named an initial 28 woman squad for the Queensland state team to play Tasmania on June 21 in Hobart.
The squad was announced to players following the All Stars Lions vs. SUNS selection game played as part of the State Triple Header at Burpengary on Sunday.
The selectors had a tough job with many players impressing and good depth in the playing stocks.
Assistant coaches were also named with Jeff Nuemann, Jo Butland and Damien Richards chosen to assist Coach Jeff White.
Lauretta Dowling also impressed and will act as team runner for the Tasmania match.
The list will be cut to a final 23 on Monday June 17.
