WET SKILLS PRACTISE IN CLUB AID TROPHY?

Friday 18 March 2011

The NEAFL clubs look set to get an early taste of wet weather football, with rain forecast for the second round of Club Aid pre-season fixtures tomorrow.

Heavy conditions will make life more difficult for the younger bodies of the four State Under 18 squads involved in the tournament.

The Brisbane Scorpions No.1 side, unbeaten last week, face a big test first-up against the hardened Mt Gravatt at Graham Road tomorrow.

Lions superstar Jonathan Brown revealed this morning that he had been considering playing in tomorrow’s fixtures against Aspley and the Scorpions, before deciding against the idea.

The Lions are favourites to take out the Club Aid Trophy after winning both matches last weekend.
