Welcome the Elimbah Meteors

Elimbah JAFC will embark on their first solo season next year as the Elimbah Meteors.

More than 130 votes were cast by the local community to determine the club’s new name and mascot after a fierce design competition last month.

From 2013 Elimbah players will don red, yellow and orange jerseys featuring a blazing meteor as designed by 8-year-old Mitchell Hurley.

Mitchell’s design won from over 30 entrants from football club members and local Elimbah State School students.

The club is currently talking to AFLQ suppliers to have professional jerseys and logos created based on the winning design.

Elimbah is a family friendly, community orientated junior football club, recruiting boys and girls aged 5 to 11 years old.  Located at Elimbah Sports Grounds, Rose Creek Road, Elimbah, training is on Thursday nights between 4pm – 5.30pm. New members are welcome at anytime.
