Value of a community club

The AFL has released  research into the Value of a Community Football Club.

The research was commissioned by AFL Victoria and was undertaken independent of the AFL by the Centre for Sport and Social Impact at La Trobe University.

The goal of the research was to determine the social value of a typical community football club, specifically its social, health and community impact.

The results of the research are extremely positive and show just how valuable community football clubs are across a range of areas. The headline fact is that for every $1 spent on a community football club there is at least $4.40 in value returned in social, health, community and economic benefits.

A pamphlet is attached that highlights the benefits and outlines the research.
