AFL Queensland is pleased to announce the Queensland state Under-17 representative side that will play Victoria Country at Ikon Park in a fortnight’s time.
The Queensland side will play at 10am on Sunday August 12, in the third game of the Futures Series.
Queensland suffered a narrow defeat in their first contest against Tasmania at Arden Street Oval in late June.
Their second contest returned a far better result for the maroon side who enjoyed a victory against New South Wales/ACT on the Gold Coast in early July.
The squad that will face Victoria Country features a wealth of talent across every line.
Some of the talent within the side includes midfield Will Martyn, who produced a best-on-ground performance against NSW/ACT and small forward Connor Budarick, who has compiled a number of strong performances in the NEAFL in recent weeks.
Training will be held on August 8 at Giffin Park, Coorparoo.
