This is Finals: Week 3

This weekend will see many teams in the QFA Division 1 HART Sport Cup, QFA Division 2 North Alpha Sport Premiership and many others in various QFA and QFAW competitions book their spots into Grand Finals.

 

QFA Division 1 HART Sport Seniors:

The Beenleigh Buffaloes secured their inaugural spot in the QFA Division 1 HART Sport Seniors Grand Final with a big win over minor premiers Coorparoo last week. Coorparoo get the second chance and will face Caloundra at home.

Preliminary Final: Coorparoo v Caloundra, Saturday 27 August, 2pm at Giffin Park, Coorparoo

 

QFA Division 1 HART Sport Reserves:

Reigning premiers Coorparoo are straight through to the Grand Final, with the opportunity to defend their trophy. Joining them in the big dance will be either Mayne or Caloundra.

Preliminary Final: Mayne v Caloundra, Saturday 27 August, 11:45am at Giffin Park, Coorparoo

 

QFA Division 2 North Alpha Sport Premiership:

 

Seniors:

 

After a refreshing week off, Hinterland and Alexandra Hills will do battle to determine who will be the first side in to the 2022 North Alpha Sport Grand Final. Hinterland will be determined to continue their unbeaten run.

Qualifying Final: Hinterland Blues v Alexandra Hills, Saturday 27th August, 2pm, G Rae Oval, Palmwoods

Semi Final: Kenmore v Sandgate Hawks, Saturday 27th August, 1:30pm at Chelmer Oval

 

Reserves:

 

Sandgate have had a strong 2022 and will be looking to go straight through to the Grand Final. They’ll face Alexandra Hills who are in their aiming for a three-peat.

Semi Final: Hinterland Blues v Kenmore, Saturday 27 August, 11am at Chelmer Oval 1

 

QFA Division 2 South:

 

Only four clubs remain with all having their Seniors and Reserves represented.

There will be some huge games across Carrara and Bond University, with Carrara and Coolangatta looking to head straight through to the Grand Final. Bond will face Burleigh in a do or die clash to keep their finals hopes alive.

Semi Final: Bond Univ v Burleigh Bombers, Saturday 27 August, 1:30pm at Bond University Oval 1

Qualifying Final 2: Burleigh Bombers v Carrara, Saturday 27 August, 11:45am at Neilsen Oval 1

 

QFA Colts:

 

The first week of finals will see four teams do battle to progress to the next round. Coolangtta and Wests Bulldogs have earned the much needed rest with a week off, after finishing Top 2 on the ladder.

 

Elimination Final 1: Carrara v Moreton Bay, Saturday 27 August, 9:30am at Alan Nielsen Oval

Elimination Final 2: Southern Swans v Kedron Lions, Saturday 27 August, 10am at Meridan Plains  

 

QFA Division 3

 

It has been a  thrilling season with great talent displayed throughout the strong finals series.  Jimboomba have already booked their spot in the QFA Division 3 Grand Final, with either Maroochydore or Sherwood to join them.

 

Preliminary Final: Maroochydore v Sherwood, Friday 26 August, 7:30pm at Maroochydore Multisports Complex

 

QFA Division 4

 

Both North and South competitions have had a tight fight for the top four. It will be an exciting road to the Grand Final.

 

QFA Div. 4 North

 

The winner of Friday night’s final will meet Northshore in the Preliminary Final next week.

QFA Division 4 South

 

The winner of Friday night’s Semi Final will meet Coorparoo in the Preliminary Final next week.

QFAW Division 1

 

The 2022 competition has been strong thanks to the introduction of a reserves competition. Each division has been competitive with a strong fight to finish in the Top 6. It has been super competitive and a strong fight for the top 6

QFAW Division 2 South

 

This competition has seen a talented bunch of players go head-to-head each week. The winner of Saturday’s game will meet Byron Bay in the Grand Final at Leyshon Park on Sunday September 4th.

 

Preliminary Final: Tweed Coast v Ballina, Saturday 27 August, 2pm at Seabreeze Sports Fields

 

QFAW Division 2 North

 

The winner of both games will progress straight through to the Grand Final next Sunday September 4 at Leyshon Park.
