Last week
Aspley – after trailing by 23-points heading into the final term in a low scoring affair, the Hornets conceded 6.2 in the final term to go down to Labrador by 62-points.

Palm-Beach Currumbin – after trailing by 20-points at half-time and 17-points at three quarter time, the Lions stormed back into the contest against Maroochydore to force extra time. The Lions were too good in the last eight minutes of play to secure a 13-point win with Jamison Shea the X Factor up forward and Ben Wilson outstanding.

Who wins this  game and why
Aspley has been one the best teams in the competition all season and have been ruthless in many of its matches. PBC finished percentage ahead of the Sharks in sixth position and recorded outstanding wins over Broadbeach and Maroochydore in recent weeks and look to be the Cinderella story of the men’s competition. Can it keep that dream run going? It’s tough because both teams were polar opposites to each other in the final stages of their matches last week but Aspley haven’t produced a performance that poorly all season.

If PBC is to win, it does so by 12 goals or less. Aspley is a fast-attacking team and will take some beating.

Aspley by 37 points
