New feel for Gold Coast Cadbury AFL 9s

When Cadbury AFL 9s kicks off again on the Gold Coast in early October, it will feel a little bit different.

As well as a change of venues – Coomera and Southport – AFL Queensland has partnered with Corporate Social Fitness (CS Fitness) to deliver competitions on the Coast.

CS Fitness is a local Gold Coast company which operates sports and fitness programs for both school children and adults, with a focus on fun.

Company Director Stephen Partridge approached AFL Queensland to run AFL 9s after he filled in for a friend’s team.

“My friend and I love footy and were keen to have a kick, but weren’t able to commit to club football’s training due to work,” said Stephen.

“We came down, had a kick with our friends and loved that it was so social and easy to pick up.

“The fact that AFL 9s can engage both children and adults on the same field was really appealing.  It’s a perfect fit for our business as we focus on helping people of any age get out, have fun and develop healthy habits.”

AFL Queensland Participation Programs Coordinator Marc Seen is thrilled to have CS Fitness on board.

“CS Fitness have shown from the word go that they were really passionate about getting involved in AFL 9s,” said Seen.

“Having been to a number of their programs and seen them in action it’s obvious that Stephen and his staff are professional and deliver fun programs, so I can’t wait for these new competitions to kick off on the Gold Coast after the recent growth we have had”.

The next Cadbury AFL 9s season will kick off in early October with CS Fitness ready to roll out competitions at Coomera and Southport.
