Morningside Panthers Womens Coaching and Football Director

If you have the passion, commitment, and skills to support our goals and values to continue to be a leading Queensland AFL club please let us know. Morningside are a foundation club of the QAFL operating for over 70 years. We have been actively building our female program in all age groups since 2018 and are fully committed to delivering football excellence in our Women’s program. In particular, we are focused on securing a QAFLW licence at the earliest opportunity.

Our Senior and reserves Div 1 teams played in the 2023 Grand Finals and the club had four female youth teams play in Grand Finals. We have close to 300 girls and women playing across the club divisions and have a rapidly growing talent pipeline.

Our 2023 Senior coach, has stepped down after 5 very successful seasons building our women’s program with regular finals experiences and a fantastic team culture. We have a talented playing list with experienced and exciting talented younger players.

We are now seeking to recruit a Women’s Senior Football leadership group to compliment and further develop our playing list potential and lead us from Division 1 into the QAFLW in the near future.

We are in ongoing discussions with AFLQ and the club has strong credentials in all 6 foundation pillars required for a QAFLW licence.

The club is seeking a senior coach with extremely high standards who has an emphasis in the development of the senior playing list.

We see this as an attractive role to high quality candidates looking to further their coaching career into the State level QAFW competition.

The Football Director is a new position who will oversee the club’s female football excellence programme. This covers all football areas; coaching, player recruiting and development and strength/conditioning and also in time the successful elevation and performance at QAFLW level.
