More Qlders recommit to Lions AFLW squad

Another four Queenslanders are set to return to the Lions’ den as Brisbane bolsters its playing list for the 2023 season.

Premiership players Sophie Conway from Zillmere and Belle Dawes from Maroochydore and Kate Lutkins from Wilston Grange headline the group locked in for Season Eight, alongside the 19 players recommitted to the Club last week, including Club captain Bre Koenen and reigning AFLW Best-and-Fairest, Ally Anderson.

AFLW duo Ruby Svarc and Phoebe Monahan also back for another season for the Lions alongside 2021 draftee Luka Yoshida-Martin who was recruited from the University of Queensland in the QAFLW competition.

Along with new recruits, Jennifer Dunne and Ellie Hampson, the Lions list is now almost complete with 28 spots confirmed.
