Colorful former AFL star ‘Fabulous’ Phil Carman will join rugby league legend Benny Elias at the Western Magpies’ ‘Battle of the Codes’ evening at Sherwood on Friday, 10 September.
Carman, one of the pioneers of white boots during an ever-colorful career that took in Collingwood, Melbourne, Essendon and North Melbourne, has replaced Sam Kekovich, who was a late scratching.
Tickets for the evening are $70 each or $650 for a table of 10 and include a two-course meal and wine. Cans of beer will be available for purchase at $2.50.
It’s pre-dinner drinks at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and there will be a memorabilia auction, raffles, games and plenty of guaranteed fun.
