LIONS CLUB VISITS TUESDAY AFTERNOON

Thirty-five Brisbane Lions players are set to make a promotional visit to 20 local junior clubs across Brisbane this afternoon (Tuesday).

Thirty-five Brisbane Lions players are set to make a promotional visit to 20 local junior clubs across Brisbane this afternoon (Tuesday).

They are scheduled to be on hand from 4.30-6pm to join in with normal training, help out as they see fit, interact with local players and sign autographs.

The visits are part of the overall commitment by the AFL and the Lions to help develop the code at grassroots level.

Players with ongoing injury concerns, including Ash McGrath, Matty Maguire and Callum Bartlett, who were injured last weekend, have been excused to focus on medical treatment.

Likewise rookie Claye Beams, who has been included in the Queensland State Open squad set to take on Tasmania at Southport on Saturday.
