Luke Readdy will star alongside his Lions heroes in this year’s AFL TV campaign
Narangba Crows junior, Luke Readdy, is still pinching himself following his acting debut alongside Brisbane Lions stars Jonathon Brown, Simon Black, Daniel Rich, Daniel Merrett and Matthew Leuenberger.
Lucky Luke was amongst 100 Brisbane Juniors players who answered the call to appear in the Brisbane Lions’ scenes for this year’s AFL TV campaign.
10 year old Luke said he had a great time filming his scenes at Coorparoo Secondary College.
“It was really good fun,” said the North Pine Christian College student.
“We did lots of running and handballing and we got to meet the players.”
And which of the Lions players did young Luke think showed the best acting chops?
“Simon Black,” said Luke.
“He was really good.”
Directed by Los-Angeles based Chris Longman – who helped launch the career of Kylie Minogue via her Locomotion video – the commercial will also feature scenes filmed at Metricon Stadium and The Gabba and will air from late February on the Seven Network, 7Mate and Fox Sports.
