The Under 17 Youth Girls State Championships will be held in Cairns from November 1st to 3rd, giving girls across Queensland the opportunity to compete against the state’s best.
At the end of the carnival a state team will be chosen to compete in the Youth Girls National Championships in May next year.
Girls wishing to try-out for the Gold Coast regional team can attend one of two trial nights being held at Coomera AFC on September 11 and 18 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Girls must be born in 1996, 97, 98 or 99 to be eligible to play.
From these trial nights the final squad of 23 will be selected. They will continue to train once a week for the 6-weeks leading up to the championships.
