AFL Northern Rivers Juniors (AFLNRJ) will host a community sign-on day in conjunction with AFL Queensland and the Gold Coast SUNS on Friday March 22 at the Byron Regional Sport and Cultural Complex.
More than 20 Gold Coast SUNS players will be in attendance on the day to meet and greet kids and their families, have a kick around, sign autographs and take photos.
AFLNRJ and AFL Queensland staff will also be present, handing out inflatable footys and cooking a family BBQ.
All clubs will have tents setup throughout the venue to promote their teams and encourage new registrations.
The goal of the event is to promote player participation in local club football and to generate a final boost in registrations before the start of the 2013 season.
It will also provide an exciting opportunity for kids to meet their football heroes, learn some new skills and make a lot of new friends.
