Logan Cobras claimed their fifth consecutive AFLQ Women’s League premiership on Sunday with a come-from-behind win over the Western Magpies at Coorparoo.

Logan triumphed 7-5 (47) to 4-6 (30) in a match played in the very best of spirit.

Cobras forward Jenille Pasfield, runner-up in the League B&F Medal this year, closed out a fantastic season when she was judged best afield in the grand final.

Others to go well for the victors were Pippa McWha, Jade Pregelj, Belinda Pepperdene and Katie Brennan.

All-Australian representative Brennan, a surprise starter after originally indicating she would not play due to injury, led the way for Logan up forward with three goals, while Katie Adair Henderson kicked two and Kate Henson and Justine McCann added singles.

Best for the Magpies were Kate Lutkins, Kylie Welsh, Mariah Pasfield and Belinda Blay, while Belinda Blay (2), Emily Wastle and Lauren James were the Magpie goal-kickers.
