The Gold Coast’s NAB AFL Auskick program at Elanora State School is proving a hit with students.
The program has 120 participants signed up which makes it one of AFL Gold Coast’s biggest ever Auskick programs.
Auskick coordinator Tim Searl said that the Elanora numbers reflected the growing interest in AFL.
“The fact that we have had 120 kids sign up at Elanora shows that not only is AFL taking off in the area but also that kids are finding out how much fun they can have by participating in our Auskick program,” said Searl.
The Gold Coast is running 34 Auskick programs this school term with approximately 1,250 boys and girls participating.
